Dual fuel injectors are placed close to the intake valves and the compression ratio is raised for efficient fuel combustion, the combustion temperatures are lowered and pumping loss is reduced by the cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, and adoption of roller rocker arms for valve lifters reduces frictional speed.
The 12V SHVS mild hybrid system incorporates an integrated starter generator (ISG), which performs as a generator as well as an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery.
